BARCLAY SHIELD & U.16'S PREMIERS FOR 09/10!!!!
BARCLAY RESERVE RUNNERS UP. A MEMORABLE SEASON FINALE FOR THE MIGHTY PLENTY C.C.

it's FINALS TIME - and plenty are in the thick of it!!!!! Congratulations to our Barclay Shield, Barclay Reserve and U.16(1) teams who all play off in their respective Grand Finals over the next fortnight. On behalf of the Club and all supporters we acknowledge the great cricket they have played already this season, and wish Rozzie and Strangers all the best as they lead their boys into battle. Let's hope the 1st XI can redress the imbalance of the past 2 years, and we can repeat the A/B "double" we last enjoyed back in 2003/04. The U.16 boys under the astute tutelage of Gordy Zull are aiming for a remarkable hat-trick, continuing our envious reputation of nuturing and fielding strong junior teams. Inspired by an amazing season from their skipper, Mitch Johnson, the efforts of these boys is even more commendable when one considers the majority of this team are in their first year at this age level. | | Dates | Opponent | Venue | Barclay Shield | 13 Mar 10, 14 Mar 10, 20 Mar 10, 21 Mar 10 | Mernda | Eltham Central Park | | Barclay Reserve | 13 Mar 10, 14 Mar 10, 20 Mar 10, 21 Mar 10 | Lower Eltham | Ben Frilay Oval (Hurstbridge) | U16 (1) Blue | 13 Mar 10, 14 Mar 10, 20 Mar 10 | Bundoora | Eltham Central Park |
